Meet the Staff
The UCP Seguin Infinitec Staff is comprised of administrators, educators, speech/language pathologists, occupational therapists, assistive technology specialists, video specialists, vision specialists and parents. It is our great pleasure to serve educational staff members throughout Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota and Pennsylvania. For more information about who we are, please see below.
Peggy Childs, Executive Vice President

Peggy Childs earned her M.Ed at University of Arizona in the area of Learning Disabilities and her B.A. in psychology at St. Louis University. She has been a teacher, principal, director of special education, trainer and consultant in school districts and special education cooperatives for nearly 40 years. During her work experience as a school leader she was committed to creating systems change that supported best practices for students with disabilities. Over the last 17 years, Peggy has been employed by United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Chicago/Infinitec as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President. In this position, Peggy has offered leadership in creating partnerships, training programs and infrastructure that provide state of the art information and technology resources to empower children and adults with disabilities. She was formally recognized for her work in education in January 2008. The Illinois Alliance of Administrators of Special Education (IAASE) presented Peggy with the "Innovative Practices Award" for her leadership in creating Infinitec Assistive Technology coalitions which were a collaboration between UCP/Infinitec and over 450 school districts in Illinois and over 275 school districts in Kansas. Currently the Infinitec Coalition model has been expanded to serve not only Illinois and Kansas but Minnesota, Georgia and California as well.
Peggy Zegley, M.S.Ed, Director of Training/AT Specialist

Peggy Zegley has a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Loyola University, Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University and has over thirty years of educational experience. She began her career in the classroom as a special education teacher. She has worked with children and adults with significant cognitive and physical disabilities from four to seventy-four years of age. Peggy has worked for United Cerebral Palsy Seguin / Infinitec as an Assitive Technology Specialist providing staff development and training in the area of technology integration.
In Peggy's position as Director of Training, her primary focus has been to collaborate with school districts as well as State Departments to provide quality professional learning to educators, paraprofessionals, SLPs, OTs, AT Specialists, Social Workers, School Psychologists, Administrators and Parents in multiple states. She is committed to staying abreast of the educational initiatives as well as the current trends in education with regard to technology and how it can be utilized to support all learners.
Steve Clements, Director of Business Development

Steve Clements received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, majoring in curriculum and instruction, from Concordia University. He began his career teaching elementary school in a self contained classroom setting in south Florida. Steve continued his career in the world of software and technology initially focusing on developing curriculum for and training adult learners on the use of technology. Moving into product development, Steve was responsible for the development of numerous enterprise healthcare technology solutions. Joining UCP in 2007, Steve focuses on the development of new technology based programs and business relationships that further the organization's mission. In addition Steve spends time in the field providing training and other services to educators.

Richard's experiences are at the center of his beliefs that education is a life-long journey that requires the talents of the whole team . He is passionate about assistive technology and its ability to level the playing field for all learners to actively participate in the curriculum.
Heather Miller, M.S., CCC-SLP, Collaboration/Training/AT Specialist

Heather Miller is a Speech Langauge Pathologist and an AAC specialist. After receiving a B.A. in Liberal Arts from the University of Iowa, Heather received herM.S. in Communication Disorders from St. Xavier University. Currently she is the Assistive Technology Lead for Collaborations and Trainings at United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Chicago-Infinitec where she collaborates and consults with district AT teams to help assist in the integration of augmentative and alternative communication into the classroom environment. She also provides training in a variety of topics related to assistive technology and AAC. Heather has presented at Closing the Gap and coauthored a series of videos about parent-child interaction. Her previous experiences include working as a Speech Language Pathologist at the Technology and Language Center, providing therapy for individuals using AAC, working as an SLP at Northern Suburban Special Education District's Education and Life Skills program, and participating in an internship at the Alan J. Brown Center for Augmentative Communication and Environmental Control at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.
Jennifer Skalitzky, AT Specialist

Jennifer works for UCP-Infinitec as an Assistive Technology Facilitator. She coordinates webinars, performs collaborations, and provides trainings. Jennifer received a Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders from Eastern Illinois University and received a M.S. in Disability and Human Development from the University of Illinois - Chicago (UIC). Her area of specialization was Rehabilitation/Assistive Technology, and she completed a Graduate Assistantship with UIC's Assistive Technology Unit (ATU). After graduation she worked for UIC's ATU where she supported students and adults using AAC devices. In addition, she has worked at Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization (NSSEO) as an Assistive Technology Facilitator. While there she supported the assistive technology needs of students with severe physical disabilities, students with Autism and learning disabilities. She also supported staff through trainings and the implementation of assistive technology. In the past, Jennifer has been an adjunct teacher at Lewis University and taught the undergraduate and graduate class on Assistive Technology for the Special Education Department.
Mary Bettlach, Program Coordinator National Services, AT Specialist/OTR/L

Mary Bettlach is an occupational therapist with a degree from Washington University Program and a Master in Public Health from St. Louis University. She has 20+ years experience in the assistive technology field. She was introduced to assistive technology as an OT instructor at Washington University and later entered the field as an AT Specialist where she worked in St. Clair County, IL and St. Louis County Special School District. She has also worked at the state level for the Minnesota Department of Education as the AT and UDL Specialist.
Mary currently lives in Fort Collins, CO. She began working for Infinitec in January, 2009 completing regional trainings, collaborations and technical assistance. She currently is the Infinitec Website Content Manager and Program Coordinator for the Minnesota Coalitions.
Maureen Joy, Assistant Director of Professional Development/AT Specialist
Maureen Joy graduated from Western Illinois University with a degree in special education. She has worked for Community Unit School District 303 as a special education classroom teacher, educating elementary students with mild to moderate cognitive impairments and with early childhood students with a variety of special education needs. After 20 years in the classroom, Maureen completed her M.Ed in Technology in Education from National Louis University. Along with the administration in CUSD 303, she developed the Assistive Technology Department. During the 15 years as an AT Specialist, she completed an advanced graduate certificate as an LBSII - Technology Specialist.

Beth Zillinger graduated from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas with a Bachelors and Masters in Communication Disorders. After graduation, Beth worked for the North Central Kansas Special Education Cooperative (NCKSEC) in multiple capacities. She provided services as a K-12 Speech-Language Pathologist working in multiple school districts and later took the role of Augmentative Alternative Communication Consultant. Beth also served on the Cooperative's Autism Interdisciplinary and Diagnostic Team. Seeing a need for further education to help her students, Beth completed courses focusing on Autism through Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg Kansas. She continued her passions for students with autism and integrating technology into the classroom when she accepted a position at Keystone Learning Services as the Autism Consultant, Autism Interdisciplinary & Diagnostic Team Coordinator, and Assistive Technology Team Coordinator. She enjoys finding new ways to utilize technology in classrooms. Beth is excited to serve in her role as the Kansas Infinitec Trainer and Project Liaison.
Vicki Pray, Finance Coordinator/AT Specialist

Vicki Pray earned her B.S. in Special Education and Elementary Education in the area of Visually Impaired and her M.S. Ed in the area of Multiple Disabilities. She began her career serving students with significant multiple disabilities who were not served in public schools. She taught students with significant multiple disabilities and then supervised teachers of students with visual impairments as well as teachers of students with multiple disabilities. She has also been a consultant in special education.
Vicki has worked for UCP/Infinitec for the past 20 years as a vision consultant, setting up the equipment lending library and maintaining billing for the coalition.
Greg Grill, Senior Director, ATEN/DME/Ramp Up

Greg has worked with UCP for the past thirteen years. Over the last three years he supervised the redeployment of over 13,000 refurbished computers to individuals with disabilities in the State of Illinois. Last year alone, the program diverted over 713 tons of computer electronics for landfills.
Annivar Salgado, Executive Producer, Infinitec Media Production Services

Mr. Salgado is a veteran ABC Television Producer with over twenty-five years of experience, three Emmy nominations, an Excellence in Media Award, and seven (7) National Telly awards for his video work. He joined Infinitec after successfully running his own production company for 10 years and he has the unique talent of capturing the heart and soul of his subjects through his productions.
Pam Schibli, Training Facilitator ISBE Grant

Pam Schibli has a Bachelor's Degree from Illinois State University in Special Education and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Development from Olivet Nazarene University. She taught for twenty years, which included ten years in a self-contained classroom and ten years as a resource teacher in an inclusive setting. Pam was also a member of the Illinois Autism Training Program and conducted trainings with her team. At Infinitec, Pam is a facilitator for the Knowledge-based Trainings offered by an ISBE grant.
Shannon Cici, Website Support Specialist

Shannon Cici has worked with UCP-Infinitec over the past 11 years. Upon graduating from St. Joseph's College with a B.S. in Sociology and a B.A. in Human Services, she began her career as a Program Supervisor in UCP-Infinitec's Adult Services with a special interest in fostering independence through technology. During that time she also worked in the Adult Recreation Program by facilitating independence in the community. Starting July 2005, Shannon became a Lekotek Leader/Play Specialist serving families who have children with disabilities by bringing them together & fostering growth through play. Over the past 3 years, Shannon has run UCP-Infinitec's Coalition Equipment Rental library. She has provided equipment & ongoing technical support to Infinitec's Coalition members. Currently, Shannon provides technical support for UCP-Infinitec's www.myinfinitec.org website.
Dave Hohulin, VP Consultant - Infinitec K-12 Coalitions
Dave Hohulin is VP Consultant for UCP Seguin of Greater Chicago's Infinitec Technology Coalitions and has worked in the field of Special Education for more than 20 years. He received his B.S. in Education from Illinois State University in Specialized Educational Development and his M.S. from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Disability and Human Development. Dave has presented at numerous local, regional, State, and National conferences on topics related to Special Education, Assistive Technology, Accessing the Core Curriculum with Technology, and Universal Design for Learning. He is currently consulting with the Kansas State Department of Education's MTSS Program to form a Curricular Access Cadre that will blend the provision of high-quality instructional practices with the technology necessary to access the instructional, material, and assessment elements of the curriculum. In 2015, Dave provided the technology input for the second edition of "Differentiating Instruction: Planning for Universal Design and Teaching for College and Career Readiness" by Thousand, Villa, and Nevin. While he'll always be a special education teacher at heart, his passion is finding solutions that will meet the needs of any learner in the classroom, regardless of ability.

Amy Broadway-Ducat, Assistive Technology Equipment Librarian

Amy earned her Bachelor's degree from Loyola University and then went on to earn her Master's degree in Education from Concordia University. Amy has taught students of all ages in all subject areas, but particularly enjoyed teaching Reading and Language Arts and fostering a love of reading in students. Amy joined Infinitec in 2011 as the Assistive Technology Equipment Librarian. Amy works with school liaisons to help them access assistive technology devices for the special-needs students in their districts, and procures and manages Infinitec's library of assistive technology equipment.
Debra Eubanks, AT Training and Infinitec Media Production Support

Debra has been with UCP since 1997 when she completed the Communicorp employee training program. She currently schedules and manages the registration of event trainings and provides assistance to the Infinitec Media progam.
