Presented by: Tabitha Jones-Wohleber*** A MASTER PAL, or “skilled partner” of an individual who uses AAC engages in authentic and meaningful interactions. In this second of 3 webinars, language characteristics that motivate engagement, invite responsiveness, and foster learning will be applied to specific contexts and conversational topics. Participants will gain insight into how ample modeling, fewer questions, and balanced demands for a response creates more equitable conversational exchanges and supports learning. Model as a MASTER PAL is a framework and compilation of resources that focus on supporting communication partners of those who use AAC by highlighting behaviors and belief systems that shape quality communicative exchanges and emphasize the importance of being an engaged and respectful communication partner. A link to all Model as a MASTER PAL resources will be provided.
