Presented by: Pete Dulany*** With the popularity of Chromebooks in today’s classrooms, teachers need to be aware of the various extensions available today on the Chrome Web Store - most of which are completely FREE. In this session, we’ll explore some of the MUST-HAVE assistive technology websites and Chrome extensions for your classroom, and how they can help you work with students and their IEP requirements. ● Mercury Reader - Want students to read a news article without all the ads and related articles? Use this to simplify the page and eliminate distractions. ● Push to Classroom - get everyone on the same page quickly. ● PlayPosIt - are students really paying attention to the video? ● Voice Typing and Highlighters - have students voice-type their papers and focus on what’s most important, using a variety of tools. ● Watchkin - watch YouTube videos in your browser, without the ads and comments! ● Google Picture-in-picture: Take notes on a video that plays live, without switching back and forth to another tab. ● Google Keep - empower students to self-organize their thoughts, assignments, and more - it’s a free tool for all Google schools.
