Presented by Kristy Gibson, SLP, AAC Provider, Kids Communicate, Two Techie Mamas***This webinar will combine research-based support for AAC, UDL principles and practical tips to overcome some of the hurdles in “getting started” using AT/AAC for children with reduced speech intelligibility. We will "use what you have" and "start where you are" with an eye towards important literacy and phonological skills. Participants will • identify 2 components of universal design for learning and how they relate to the early implementation of AAC. • compare & contrast tools by demonstrating an understanding of at least 3 different features that may support individuals with speech impairments. • integrate implementation of at least 2 AAC and speech production strategies into a sample implementation plan.
