NOTE: THIS IS A 3 PART WORKSHOP -- FULL TITLE: EVERY MOVE COUNTS, CLICKS & CHATS: A SENSORY BASED APPROACH TO COMMUNICATION & ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY****************** Registration: 8:00am. Workshop: 8:30am to 3:30pm**************** Who Should Attend? This course is designed for TEAMS working with students with significant disabilities. Teams must have 2 participants, and are limited to 4 participants. Teams are encouraged to include Therapist and Educator. What Is It? Three-day workshops present non-traditional assessment and intervention strategies appropriate for the development of communication in individuals having complex communication needs, severe sensory motor differences, developmental differences, and/or autism. Information is relevant to the needs of those individuals who are currently perceived as unable to communicate wants and needs spontaneously in their environment, regardless of age or severity of physical and/or communicative differences. Techniques incorporate current research in the areas of communication, education and sensory integration. ***********THIS WORKSHOP IS IN 3 PARTS --- PLEASE NOTE THAT ATTENDANCE AT ALL 3 PARTS OF TRAINING IS REQUIRED. ***** PART 2 - FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1ST*******PART 3 - FRIDAY, JANUARY 19TH ************ *********(APPROVED FOR ASHA CREDITS -- 100% ATTENDANCE REQUIRED).**********
