PRESENTED BY SUSAN STOKES***Intermediate Level***The ability to self-regulate: to self-calm, relax, and refocus when stressed or anxious is a critical life skill that is not inherently present in students with ASD. Therefore, direct instruction when calm is a necessity to assist students with ASD in developing self-regulation skills. This fast-paced webinar will demonstrate various apps that can be used to teach students with ASD how to recognize and understand emotional states in self and others – a foundation skill for development of self-regulation. Participants should have a general knowledge of iTechnology device “basics”, including accessories and access tools, for making these systems user friendly for both students and adults.
